Dr. Assaf Yaakov

 

Assaf Jacob joined the IDC in 1997. Dr. Jacob is primarily interested in Tort law and Computer law as well as Intellectual Property law. Other teaching and research interests include Law and Economics and Theories of Property rights. In his courses Dr. Jacob provides a wide perspective of various theories, among which is the economic analysis of law, as well as practical aspects of these subjects. Assaf Jacob earned his LL.B. in 1993 from Tel-Aviv University, where he served as a member of the Editorial Board of the Tel-Aviv University Law Review and later as an Associate Editor. He then served one year as a clerk to the former Chief justice Meir Shamgar. In 1995 Assaf Jacob received his LL.M. from the University of Chicago Law School where he also received his J.S.D. in 1998. He is a member of the Israeli Bar Association since 1994.
