The unique capabilities of these new technologies allow for innovative communication and enable us to promote diplomatic discourse and activities from different, and perhaps unexpected angles. Uses of new media also help us reach new and more varied audiences than reached by traditional media. The institute’s researchers and students work to broadcast audiovisual information via new media platforms; social networks; blogs; viral marketing campaigns and the IDC radio. The institute also conducts academic research on the changing public opinion in virtual arenas. In 2010, the Asper Institute launched nocamels.com, now the world's leading news website on Israeli innovation. The site is read by a large local and international audience and is affiliated with leading news organizations such as TheMarker and TheNextWeb. This year-long, exclusive program provides students with exposure to the world of innovation and journalism. In 2012 the Asper Institute launched the IDC International Radio, an English-speaking FM and internet radio that broadcasts to Jewish communities around the world.
