​Admission Requirements

Students who do not have a B.A. degree in any of the fields listed above are expected to take eight hours of prerequisite courses, in consultation with the head of their specialization.


Please note that these courses must be completed by the end of the
first semester.


Pre-requisite courses will be offered during the summer prior to the beginning of the academic year and at set times throughout the week of the first semester. The specific prerequisite course requirements will be decided by the admissions committee.


Application Fee

Application Fee is $100 US (non-refundable) to be paid by registration.

The application fee can be paid in cash or by check at the Admissions Department, or by credit card via the Internet through the IDC online registration.

The application fee covers part of the expense of processing and evaluating an application to study at IDC Herzliya. This fee is non-refundable even if the applicant decides to withdraw his/her application. IDC graduates are exempt from the application fee.

 Application Status


  1.   Applicants who do not submit all required information and documents with their application forms, but intend to do so at a later date, should note this on the application form. In all cases, all documents must be submitted to the Admissions Department no later than August 31, 2018.
  2.  Applicants who submit unofficial copies of documents will be evaluated based on the documents they submit. If accepted, all official copies must be submitted within seven days of acceptance. Applicants, who do not do so, risk having the offer of acceptance withdrawn and/or having their application reevaluated during a later stage of the application process.
  3.  The Admissions Department will notify applicants upon receiving their applications. The notification will indicate whether or not the entire application was received. In the latter case, the notice will list the missing documentation required in order to complete the application process.
  4.  Applicants who complete their applications after the application period has ended and who meet the admission criteria will be admitted upon availability of space in the program.
  5.  Incomplete applications will not be assessed.


Submission of Documents


  • Official transcripts of previous academic studies (undergraduate and graduate degrees) including a final grade point average (GPA). If the transcript is not issued from an English-speaking academic institution, applicants must provide a notarized English translation of their transcript.
  • Diploma of undergraduate degree (BA) with at least an 80 GPA. For the Research Track a GPA of 88 is required.
  • Two letters of recommendation.
  • Curriculum Vitae (CV).
  • Personal Statement: one page explaining applicant’s background, interest in the program and aspirations. For the Thesis track, a two-page personal statement highlighting academic background, research interests, and professional aspirations is required.
  • Applicants who did not study in an English-speaking academic institution must submit the results of an English proficiency test such as TOEFL, IELTS, or AMIRAM. Applicants who have studied at least one year at a university in which the language of study is English will be exempt from the test. Test results must be submitted no later than August 31, 2018.
  • IDC Herzliya graduates are only required to submit their CV, one letter of recommendation for admission, a copy of their ID and their personal statement.


Official Documents


Official documents must be formatted in one of the following manners:

  • Official documents must bear the stamp of the issuing
    institution. OR
  • Notarized photo copy of the official document. OR
  • A photocopy of the document may be submitted if the original is shown to the Admissions Department.
  • A final printed officially stamped transcript should be presented in person by the first week of class.

​Tuition Fees


  • Tuition fee for the 2018-2019 academic year for the entire MA Program (specializations or thesis) is $12,950 US. If a student begins the MA with Thesis program directly, the tuition is $12,950 US. If the student chooses to join this program at a later date, there will be an additional fee of $750 US. Tuition for the Specialization with Thesis for the entire degree costs $14,050 US.  
  • Upon acceptance, the admissions office will send a payment request to pay the tuition down payment in the amount of $2,000 US.
  • The tuition down payment must be paid by the date indicated on the written payment request in order to reserve a place at IDC. The down payment is the first tuition payment, and will be subtracted from the total tuition.
  • Prior to the academic year, all students will receive an email including a payment schedule which will offer different methods of payment:
    A. Via credit card
    B. 12 installments via wire transfer (each month from November 2018 - October 2019).
  • Tuition fees will not be reduced for students who receive an exemption from courses in English or courses they took during their previous studies.
  • Students who cease their studies or do not begin them after being accepted and paying the tuition down payment, will be charged according to the IDC Cessation of Studies Chart given upon registration.
  • Once accepted and after paying initial down payment of $2,000 US, student may defer commencement of studies for up to two years (however down payment is non-refundable if student cancels after this process).

Prerequisite Course Tuition Fee is 1,950 NIS per course. If a third
course is required the fee will be half price. Course tuition must
be paid by the date indicated on the written payment request

IDC graduates receive a 10% discount on tuition.
